How can I pay?
Payment is made online by card when you place the order. Transactions are handled by Square: Ferme Clémentoise never sees or stores a card number.

No. Prices shown in the shop are before taxes. GST and QST are calculated at checkout, before payment.
Our products
Is your maple syrup organic?
Yes. Maple syrup from Ferme Clémentoise is certified organic by Ecocert Canada. The certification is not about the sap itself but about how the sugar bush is run: no pesticides or chemical fertilizers, a tap count limited by each tree's diameter, cleaning products drawn from a permitted list, and an annual inspection by an independent body.
Are your other products organic?
No, and Ferme Clémentoise would rather say so plainly. The Ecocert Canada certification applies to the maple syrup. The butters, taffies, caramels, jellies and chocolates are made with that certified syrup, but they are not themselves certified organic products: that would require separate certification for each product and for the kitchen where it is made.
How is your maple syrup made?
Ferme Clémentoise collects its own maple sap each spring and boils it the traditional way, over a wood fire. Our sugar bush has been in operation for more than 50 years, in Saint-Clément.
What makes your spicy products different?
We grow more than twenty varieties of hot peppers ourselves. Those peppers are what Ferme Clémentoise pairs with its maple to create its spicy jellies, sauces and condiments.
Are your products handmade?
Yes. The treats from Ferme Clémentoise are made by hand at the farm, in small batches, to keep them at their freshest.
Storing our products
How should maple syrup be stored?
It depends on the container. The 540 ml pouches and the decorative glass bottles keep at room temperature, away from light, as long as they are unopened. The plastic jugs, on the other hand, should be kept in the freezer. In every case, refrigerate the maple syrup once the container has been opened.
How should maple taffy be stored?
Maple taffy is a delicate product: Ferme Clémentoise suggests keeping it in the freezer. If you do not plan to eat the whole jar, avoid stirring the taffy. Instead, gently pour out the amount you need, then add a little cold water on top before returning the jar to the freezer or the refrigerator.
What can I do with the last bit of maple taffy?
Stir the remainder briskly while it is still lukewarm: the taffy changes colour and turns into a delicious maple fudge.
How should the cones be stored?
All our cones keep in the freezer, for longer freshness, or in the refrigerator. They tolerate room temperature, but not for an extended period.
How should maple butter be stored?
In the freezer, then in the refrigerator once the jar has been opened. Syrup sometimes rises to the surface of maple butter: that is normal, simply stir it before use.
How should maple caramel and salted caramel be stored?
The refrigerator suits them better, even before opening, though it is not required. As with maple butter, syrup may rise to the top: just stir before use.
